1) Donald John Trump sworn on Friday, January 20 2017 on the steps of the US Capitol at noon.
2) The new 45th President of the United States then officially took over from that time current President Barack Hussein Obama II.
3) Presidents have been inaugurated on Jan. 20 since Franklin D. Roosevelt took the oath of office in 1937, moving up from the previous day of March 4.
4) The president and president-elect traditionally travel together to the inauguration.
5) The Vice President – in this case Indiana Governor Mike Pence – was sworn in first. Then it was the Trump’s turn.
6) He will take the traditional oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
History repeats itself for who fight for it
Until then Trump takes on the title of President-Elect.
